I have you in my heart ... little chickadee

I am so happy to have found this little chickadee stamp because these sweet little friendly birds are my very favourite.

I hope you are enjoying these fine summer days as much as I am. For those in the midst of winter, keep warm and cozy.

a rose is a rose ... and summertime

I made these two cards for the Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble hosted by Natalie.  The challenge was Christmas in July, making a Christmas card with non traditional colours or making a card incorporating red and green in the design.  I just couldn't get out those Christmas stamps ... not yet, so I decided to make summertime cards using red and green ... two colours that are a little challenging for me!  But none the less, I enjoyed the challenge, it was lots of fun! I was quite inspired, since I haven't really had time to be creative lately.

... the weekend is almost done  ... and a new week is about to begin
thank you for visiting ... have a safe and enjoyable week!

behind the garden gate

I made this card a while back for a very special lady (Jacqueline) and forgot to post it.
I have not been able to spend much time blogging or visiting my lovely flickr friends due to long work hours.  I miss you all. The weather is hot and today, very humid.

My garden
I got up early this morning to water my garden before leaving for work. I noticed my several heads of lettuce had grown full and tall. I was looking forward to that lettuce this evening ... however when I went to pick it ... some little critter got there before ... and had it all!
I walked to the back by the raspberry bush and I figure I knew who to blame
as I walked down the path, I saw the wild guineafowl run and oh they looked so very ashamed!

i'm a poet and didn't know it ;)

I hope to get some photos of these cute little guineafowl this weekend.

Thanks so very much for your visit. Have yourself a wonderful weekend!

wildflowers

A Sensitive Plant in a garden grew,
And the young winds fed it with silver dew,
And it opened its fan-like leaves to the light.
And closed them beneath the kisses of Night.
And the Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
Rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
But none ever trembled and panted with bliss
In the garden, the field, or the wilderness,
Like a doe in the noontide with love's sweet want,
As the companionless Sensitive Plant.

A photograph of some wildflowers for you ...
I found many colourful wildflowers on my walks ...
but these were so soft and pretty.
I hope all is well.
Thank you for your visit!
